ashfaq_t Posted August 21, 2003 Author Posted August 21, 2003 I had read a post somewhere that even files from the i386 folder can be deleted.(language files apart from english). Just cant remeber now where I read it.

b0r3d Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 From the FAQ on the website:Q: I don't have enough space to burn Windows XP with all the extras, what should I do?A: It's safe to remove the three folders DOCS, VALUEADD, and SUPPORT. You will only need the i386 and $OEM$ folder, as well as the files in the root of the CD. You can also run a search on your $OEM$ folder for any instmsia.exe and instmsiw.exe files, delete them as you won't need them for Windows XP. For those who don't plan on upgrading from a previous OS, then you can also delete the WIN9XMIG, WIN9XUPG and WINNTUPG folders in the i386 directory. In total you will have freed up 60 MB of space!
