Trouble installing network drivers

Featured Replies

I have attempted to add all my drivers on several occasions but whenever I add the network drivers (I have two, one a Realtek gigabit and the other a nVidia 10/100) the installation freezes and I have extreme difficulty getting it to continue. Does anyone know what might be causing this and what I should do to get this to work correctly?

System specs:

nForce2 DFI Lanparty Ultra B

Onboard RealTek RTL 8169/8110 Gigabit Ethernet driver 5.635.923.2005

nVidia nForce Networking Controller (10/100) driver 4.7.1

RealTek unused, nVidia connected to Router.

I have a "Safeway" network card that would freeze my computer every minute when running XP-SP2. I solved the problem (after hours and hours of troubleshooting) by rolling back to the 2K drivers that were in the box. I think the card was detected as Realtek.
