Hi there, 5.3 already? But I haven't finished creating my Boot DVD! I started when it was version 5.1... but the changelog for 5.3 looks really good, can't wait to check out the new 1024 x 768 screen space. Yummy!

I've seen an old version of WPI (don't know version, how can you tell which version?) that has the normal post-install applications screen but when you've chosen all your programs you want to install, WPI uses the RunOnceEx style to show the user which programs are installing.

Can the latest versions do this? Am i off my rocker and it never could? Thanks!!

I was introduced to WPI at v5.1 so I'm not certain, but I believe the versions prior to 5.x used the RunOnceEx style to install. The 5.x versions started using a command handler for installations. The only disadvantage I've seen is not being able to resume after a reboot, but I am currently working on a reboot resume solution and hope to post something in the next few days.

I removed the RunOnceEx for a built-in installer back after 4.3.8 was released (5.0 being the official first release with it). None of my installers need to reboot; I nLite all my drivers in; I use InstallRite and/or MultiSet instead of switches.

I am thinking about merging the two to allow for a re-boot. Down the road a ways, though.
