michal_banszel
Hi!I want to install MCE 2005, and as I sow the only difference is that in folder "cmpnents" id CD 2 there is "mediactr" which contains MCE 2005 stuff. So I compiled windows XP Pro with nLite and I've put "mediactr" into "cmpnents" folder. Will it work right now or I have to do something alse to make windows installer "see" that it has to install MCE from "cmpnents" folder?GreetingsMike
MagicAndre1981
copy both cds in a directory and open the txtseup.sif.search for the following items:[SourceDisksNames.x86]1 = %cdname%,%cdtagfilei%,,\i3862 = "%cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei%",,\cmpnents\tabletpc\i3 863 = "%cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei%",,\cmpnents\mediactr\i3 864 = "%cd2name%","%cd2tagfilei%",,\cmpnents\netfx\i 386and change this to [SourceDisksNames.x86]1 = %cdname%,%cdtagfilei%,,\i3862 = "%cdname%","%cdtagfilei%",,\cmpnents\tabletpc\i3863 = "%cdname%","%cdtagfilei%",,\cmpnents\mediactr\i3864 = "%cdname%","%cdtagfilei%",,\cmpnents\netfx\i38 6100 = %spcdname%,%spcdtagfilei%,,\i386,1now you can use nlite to remove compenets (BUT DON'T REMOVE THE .NET FRAMEWORK!!!), add updates and create a ISO.Enjoy! bledd
make a folder called C:\XPMCEcopy disc 1 contents and disc 2 contents to the folderdo the nlite stuff, DONT remove WMP, or .netfx components, just burn with nlite using mce key and it'll workyou don't need to edit any sif files if you use nlite
