nuhi
Yes I was thinking the same thing when that options was made and when Windows bug makes the double entry. But thing why it wasn't like that is this question:-Is that default line always the same, on every Windows version?-What if person has 2 Windows on separate partitions, how can we detect the id of that which is used for current ISO?-Does bootcfg has option to change only current installation? Innocent Devil
u can get these settings from registryatHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ControlthroughSystemBootDeviceSystemStartOptionsthen do a text search on boot.ini for that entryif it is first line then id =1if second then id =2and so onor to find when and from where windows adds these entries to boot.ini(probably using bootcfg ,if then try to remove /a switch)
Kiki Burgh
hi nuhi! would it be possible for nLite to allow for:(1) in the unattended section, option as to which File System is going to be used (i.e., Format with NTFS, Format with NTFS (quick), Format with FAT32, format with FAT32 (quick)?(2) adding user names (& passwords) ... i think i already requested for this previously (3) changing of boot screen (perhaps an image we can integrate)(3) more components to remove safelythanks! nuhi
Innocent Devil, getting the info from the host machine isn't that reliable and even that scenario may change when reinstalling. You can put your command into Unattended - RunOnce page.I'll review it some more later.Kiki Burgh, 1. no2. yes3. not priority4. yes
