deathwarder Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I just finished my first disc, and wanted to thank nuhi for making nlite, without which I would still be reformatting. Some weird stuff did happen with my disc though, it seemed to have forgotten all of my settings that I put into nlite, and asked me for everything. It also couldn't find certain files on the disc for the ati drivers, which it seems where put in the wrong place. Finally, even though I had the files from an activated install in the $oem$ folder, it didn't come activated.
Sonic Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 <snip> I had the files from an activated install in the $oem$ folder, it didn't come activated. What file ? If it's wpa.dbl, you use an older method which doesn't work since SP1 !You can use pre-activated oembios files if you have a oem pc hardware like Acer,HP,Dell,Nec that'all about activation. ps you can auto-activate windows by the net during install, but if the counter reach 3 you must use the call !
deathwarder Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 I used wpa.dbl. It still says that on the msfn guide. Is there another method for a custum(home built) machine?
Sonic Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 No since SP1.Alternatives ...(basic method) Backup full system with cloning method.(funny method ^^) Buy an OEM computer and use Pre-activation method with OEMBIOS files ...
