When you burn a cd, all your (relevant) files are copied into a temp folder during the process so there would be no difference at all.Just means you'd be wasting your time defragmenting your HD. vcant Posted August 17, 2003 Share Posted August 17, 2003 you might want to defrag if you have problems with cd burning, i had a buffer underun problem once burning large heavily fragmented file...but in general if you dont have any problems, you should just burn as is...R600, the files are not nesecerely copied to a temp folder, they are if you use windows cd burning, or if you specificly enable it in other burning software.
