my ATI card hangs my system !

i have ATI Radeon X600 Pro. PCIE 256 MB video card ! but just after installing it....my system hangs within few minutes!! i have installed newer drivers too! but it didnt solve my problem! there is a problem in video card or what?

My system config. are

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

ASUS A8N-VM motherboard

2x512 MB Twinmos Single Channel RAM

80 GB SATA HDD

250 GB External WD USB 2.0 HDD

Video Driver Version : ATI Catalyst 6.7 ( latest )

Go to services.msc and disable one of Ati's service. It's named Gart or AGP something.

On my laptop with X700 PCI-E, this service starts correctly but then has to shutdown and makes the whole system lag. This happens at every startup until I disable the faulty service.

The exact name of this service can be foun in the event viewer (eventvwr.msc), an error is displayed. That's how I found the solution for my computer.
