Nucleus
To install QuickTime Alternative v1.72 I use this:REG ADD %KEY%\009 /VE /D "QuickTime Alternative v1.72" /fREG ADD %KEY%\009 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\QuickTime\QuickTime.exe /VERYSILENT" /fDuring unattended installation I get this error message:This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this. When the unattended setup finishes, I uninstall and re-install QuickTime Alternative v1.72 and the message does not appear again.Any ideas what's causing this? Camarade_Tux
Try to install QTAlt later : it's likely and app that you install updates msvcrt71.dll (Acrobat for example).
ZileXa
Use Quicktime Lite instead, ksphere.free.frsmaller then Alternative, always worked perfectly here. Edited August 4, 2006 by ZileXa
Sphinx-cn
or if you use the $OEM$ folders, just find (through google) MSVCP71.DLL and msvcr71.dll and put them in $OEM$\$$\system32that works for me
Nucleus
It seems that a lot of previously installed software are using that DLL file.PowerDVDNero Burning RomAdvanced System Optimizer. Edited August 8, 2006 by Nucleus
Camarade_Tux
Nero and PowerDVD are installed later. At the end of installation, do you have a msvcrt71.dll file on your computer ? If you do, just move QTAlt at the end. If not, you'll have to put it there. Also, an app that use a dll may not complain during installation.
