I think this is just an anoyance caused by me missing a detail in the process of creating my CD, but when Windows is installing files I get a "Could Not Locate" error message for c:\windows\hfslip\hfslp2xx.inf where xx is equal to 19 and reoccurs up to 28. Otherwise, the install is successful.

David

it shows your using XP SP2 English ... a few updates that caught my attention are the following:

WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-usa.exe (is this not for media center?)

directx_apr2006_redist.exe (this should be in HFCAB after extracting the files --- you don't need the entire DX.exe)

likewise, ideally use hotfixes in Tomcat's sig only :)

i see here too that you are using the latest final: 60712 ... you might want to try our test releases too found here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=69809

for more detailed reference, check TommyP's website: http://users.telenet.be/tc76/hfslip/

have fun using HFSLIP! :D

Yes, kdla1957, please follow Kiki's guidelines regarding WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-usa.exe and directx_apr2006_redist.exe. Do look at the directions on this page on which CAB files you need out of that DirectX file.

I also noticed two additional things:

1. Since you included KB905474 (WGA Notifications), you do not need the older LegitCheckControl.cab.

2. You placed your MSI files in HFTOOLS. They belong in HF just like the hotfixes.

:) Thank you KiKi and Super-Magician both. I deleted the LegitCheckControl.cab, removed the MediaCenter (What was I thinking??) and the DX.exe and took care of the wayward msi files... Like I said in the beginning, it was bound to be something I missed.

You saved me the time of doing it all over again from scratch - That, is very much appreciated.
