Intergrate R2 into Win 2003.

yeah i was wondering, is there a way to intergrate the r2 disc into the original win 2003 disc , becaUse i wanted to do an nlited win 2003 r2 disc.

oww yeah and this is a bit off topic but when ever i create an nlite disc with the current nlite 1.01 it would bypass the user creation at first boot and by default would always create an account called "owner" which sounds just plain wierd.. is there a way to fix that because i cant find "login as admin" like previous and i never removed that "out of the box experince" option but still just creates that "owner" thing.

any help would be greatly apreciated

R2 is a edition of 2003. U can't integrate it. And ur R2 disc should already be a fully working 2003 setup disc.

And in winnt.sif, if there is UnattendSwitch=Yes, a user called Owner is created. Pls google before asking.

@T_D: i believe you are mistaken. Disk 1 of r2 is a standard 2K3 SP1 slipstream. Disk 2 contains all the extra R2 goodness. What the OP wanted, was a way to merge the two disks.

Now: I'ts been a while since i last checked. But shouldn't copying the files off both disks onto HD in the same folder do the trick? And then you burn a new CD (including bootsector) from that folder. Simple

yeah i tried that, copyed all disc 2 into disc 1 and when i opened nlite it still says "Windows 2003 Sp1"

There reason why you can't intergrate it...is because R2 requires a seperate serial number...thus would also require another setup.exe run after the installation of SP1...so if you added the files..and made some setup to run the R2 setup after you installed SP1 without it rebooting..then you might ...but very doubtful.

u can install R2 by simply installing win2k3 SP1 with R2 cd key

on first login it asks for R2 cd to continue the R2 component install
