Joc Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Maybe I am offtopic, sorry about that:make a 16 colors picture and place it into the \Windows folder and name it boot.bmp.Edit the boot.ini in the root folder. Place this part to the end of the line which contain the operating system name (Microsoft Windows XP Professional...):/bootlogo /noguiboot...or you can make it unattendedly:bootcfg /raw /id 1 "/bootlogo /noguibootRestart and you'll see!Joc(Sorry about my poor english! )
JuMz Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 (edited) WOAH, I'm going to try this with my VM right now...EDIT: Didn't work in my VM, it just halts at a black screen...doesn't go back to windows... Edited July 27, 2006 by JuMz
Joc Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 (edited) Check the boot.ini file, try to make modification by own hand. This is my boot.ini line:multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=alwaysoff /nopae /fastdetect /bootlogo /noguiboot...and my boot.bmp filesize is 153,718 bytes! Don't forget: 16 colors only!Joc Edited July 28, 2006 by Joc
