Bootscreen solution

Featured Replies

Maybe I am offtopic, sorry about that:

make a 16 colors picture and place it into the \Windows folder and name it boot.bmp.

Edit the boot.ini in the root folder. Place this part to the end of the line which contain the operating system name (Microsoft Windows XP Professional...):

/bootlogo /noguiboot

...or you can make it unattendedly:

bootcfg /raw /id 1 "/bootlogo /noguiboot

Restart and you'll see!

Check the boot.ini file, try to make modification by own hand. This is my boot.ini line:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=alwaysoff /nopae /fastdetect /bootlogo /noguiboot

...and my boot.bmp filesize is 153,718 bytes! Don't forget: 16 colors only!
