kartel Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I recently "restored" my OS and now have avg free installed again, I noticed before when I uninstall avg my mouse isn't always detected and I have to reboot or unplug an plug back in my mouse. It's a usb mouse with proper drivers. So now I notice the mouse is fine and dandy but from past experience, when I uninstall avg the mouse goes wonky.Anyone know why this would be?thanks
LLXX Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 AVG uses a rootkit and kernel hook. Probably related to your problem.
kartel Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) So how do I remove this avg without corrupting my OS?I thought avg was a nice av but i never get it to alarm for quite awhile and would like to free those extra dealies. Edited July 24, 2006 by kartel
