resistance2fly Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Is there anyway to silently install (not visible to the user) the unattended installers this software creates?
ChrisKuhli Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 The installers TGUP creates via 'tgup /oi:"C:\Installer" are different!Every installer shows (at moment) a CLI window where is printed "Installing <installpackage>...". Then either a few later it prints a new line with only "... finished!" (then the installer ran "hidden") or a graphical interface which is fully automatized and then that line.In both cases if the installpackage includes a standalone application an icon should appear in the startmenu. Otherwise, as an extension it should appear in that application which it extends. That will hopefully happen if no error occurs! As TGUP supports not only XP also 2k and Vista but there might be some glitches... Create a install.ini where you disable what doesn't installs - test in a virtual machine!

limerz Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Hi ckislamThank you for a great program! Is there a way I can prevent tgup from creating it's own idea of organization in the Start menu? I'd like to be able to have applications show up as the normally would (for example: Firefox is located in "Mozilla Firefox" under the Start menu).

ckislam Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 New Year and New Future Plans for TGUP:I'm planning in the near future to add a possibility for users to integrate their own Applications/Installers in TGUP.An Extra Tool will published for that purpose, which intends to make the creating of the Application List (Source) easier. The Lists or Sources can be on a local drive, network share or an internet URL.Who likes can publish his own source for other users. Similar to the Cydia (iPhone) method. Hope it finds satisfaction
