jeremyschubert
Pardon my ignorance, but I'm a bit confused.I want to use nlite to create my remote install source for xp.I don't want to burn it to a cd.So, does nlite create a winnt.sif file that I can rename to unattended.txt? If so, where is the file placed. Also, does following through with all of the component choices in nlite basically complete all the entries I need for my unattended.txt file? Thanks for any help,Jeremy
i'm not ophiel
how about you try using the program at least once before you ask questions about it.
Camarade_Tux
I've been facing the same confusion since guides from MS always refer to unattended.txt. The winnt.sif nlite creates is enough on its own. You don't need to rename it or do anything else. If you need an unattended.txt, then you should do it yourself. nLite is far from offering all the available options in this file. jeremyschubert
Ophiel-I have used the program to pack an xpsp2 cd. I just couldn't find the winnt.sif file. I guess I should have made that more clear.Tux - thanks for the info. I will find the winnt.sif file and use it as the basis for my unattended.txt file.
