Have you tried resetting your connection? Power off/unplug all modems and routers for a minute, then reboot.

I doubt its that. 1 minute before that update I installed 3 other things then this came and it didnt work.

try downloading dial-a-fix from djlizard.net and use the WU/WUAU to fix windows update. It will reregister all the associated dll's flush the update software cache and stop and restart the appropriate services.

Ok i downloaded that full version and i click fix windows update and it selectsa lot of things and its been on registering regwizc.dll for a while now.

Download it from the M$ download centre.

I have just had a quick scan round the Microsoft site, and this patch appears to do something with daylight savings times on Australian PC's.

I suppose it is possible that it fails to install because you don't have the Australian regional settings installed?

The hotfix that you were failing on just tries to run the uninstaller for KB912475. That file is the uninstaller for KB912475. Lots of hotfix cleanup programs remove the uninstallers -- normally not a problem --- but leave it to Microsoft to create a problem anyway.
