windows media player help please!

hope this in right section.

my windows media player will play sound perfectly but the screen is black. it doesn't flicker. just pure black.

this is for watching videos on websites.

i deleted wmp and downloaded a new one. i deleted cookies and temp files. i got rid of video acceleration. i restarted computer lots of times. even turned off firewall.

it was working fine. not sure what i did to break it!!

any suggestions welcome. thanks for help.

first off scan your pc for viruses/spyware/malware then try again. if that doesn't work, come back here. also, does it happen on a specific website or any website?

did the scan, no prolems.

it's the same with all websites.

flash works perfectly.

first of all do u have any codecs installed?

and second ....how did u delete wmp???
