Nerwin Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Hey guys i'm looking for a program that i can accessing my itunes over the net. you know so when like in some other state and want to listen to music on my laptop, i can get my itunes. So is there a program to do that?
colemancb Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I don't know about accessing iTunes, but if you just set up an FTP or HTTP server and password-protect it, you can get to that from anywhere. I know if you are running Windows XP Pro you can use 'Remote Desktop' but that will take alot of bandwidth trying to stream music from it.

colemancb Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I would use Abyss Web Server X1. It's free and leaves a very small footprint on your machine, so you can continue to use as normal. You can download it here.I'm going to assume that you can figure out how to set it up. Here is the Users Guide if you get stuck. That will explain how to set up the server and your paths, and how to password-protect them.If you need more help, let me know.
