deathwarder Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I have many computers in my house, and was wondering if there is a way to control them all from my computer in my room? So that I can utilize their idle time. Either have a program that tells me which ones are idle and lets me choose which one to start processes on, or one that does the choosing automaticly. I do a lot of video and audio converting and this would really speed things up. I am running windows xp media center, and the other computers are running home edition. I believe that the term is task transparency or task migration?
LLXX Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 You can install remote-control software like VNC and use the network to transfer files to/from the other machines...
deathwarder Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 but it would take a long time to open up a vnc window for each computer, I would need it to be seamless
