Network connection icon

I was wondering if there is anyway to add the network connection icon (like Win2K & XP) in the systray? I'm not really interested in the dialog balloon, just the icon with the flashing light when you send/receive data.

I guess I should have made it clear that I mean for broadband not dial up.

It's been a long time since I ran 98. But I remember I had a little freeware utility that would do that. You'll have to google for it though, I don't remember the name. Windows 98 by its self does not have the network activity icon.

If I may make a suggestion:

try NetMeter [100% freeware]:

* NetMeter v0.9.9.9 beta 2 32-bit for Windows 9x/NT4/2000/ME/XP/2003 monitors

any TCP/IP, LAN, WAN Internet/network connection speed, highly customizable:

Direct download [602 KB, freeware]:

http://www.mefo-shop.de/readerror/NetMeter_v0999beta2.exe

Says beta, but it is very stable, I'm using it in Win98SE, ME + XP.
