QNX

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am interested in QNX but the imformation on the net is very limited. The things I would like to know.

Is it fast

Is it stable

Software availability

I applied for a download of evaluation download but unsure which one to apply for to test it.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QNX it's just another *nix variant. It is a realtime OS, which means it does have a fast response time. I'd guess it to be as stable as any other *nix, but I don't think there is much software available.

The system is quite small, fitting in a minimal fashion on a single floppy, and is considered to be both very fast and fairly "complete."

The non-commercial version (QNX NC) was discontinued in 2003.

I think I have a QNX floppy somewhere... probably tried it a few times and forgot about it.
