I am registered but it isnt there on connect and I havent gotten any email, at least I got an email about office 2007, but when I click on available programs in connect it doesnt have a "windows vista" option

This means you are not in the beta for Vista so you will not have access to it threw connect.

the acceptance to the beta happend a long time ago, you won't get in now, you best chance is to sign up for the CPP that should be out end of june/ july. either that or if you work for a company that has a technet subscription or MSDN account you can dload it there. if you really really wanted it you can get a technet subscription for around 500$ :)
