Hi everyone

I'm looking for some program that would allow me to schedule periodic backups of my PC to a tape device.

I tried to use ntbackup but it gave me hall on the media configurations - I want the process to be fully automatic - i.e. The program sees a tape in the drive, formats it and then writes the data on the tape. For ntbackup I've tried to use the /UM switch as well, still no good.

Could someone please recommend a good (or maybe evil backup software that is also freeware and can be used on an xp workstation with a tape device connected to it ?

program is not free but Veritas Backup Exec would do the trick. (now owned by Symantec)

tapeware does that too
