  1. Yes, thank you for the link - It worked great! haven't tested it yet with restore on a different machine, if someone could do this that would be great. Maxim.
  2. Hi could someone please recommend a good freeware / open source backup software for outlook express ? Thank you, Maxim.
  3. Thank you, via google I can find lot's of them: http://www.office-addins.com/-outlook-addi...ook-backup.html http://www.backsettings.com/outlook-backup.html http://www.pcsoftland.com/utilities/backup...utSource-XP.htm http://www.soft14.com/Utilities_and_Hardwa...784_Review.html What I asking is if someone had any experience with those and could recommed the one that works.
  4. The topic is not just a list of OSS but also some good freewares. Irfanview is NOT "Free", when you say Free the term means "Free as in Freedom, not as free beer". The Freedom of the software is the power of so many developers to "Free" their software under CopyLeft licenses, please read more about it here: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html
  5. Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some utility (freeware or not) that would let me cleanly and easy copy user settings from 1 pc to antoher. Both OS's are XP and both applications are outlook 2003 pro. I need something that would copy me both the .pst files and the other info (like pop / smtp passwords), NK2 (autocomplete) and other mambo jambo outlook might have. Could some one please suggest such utility ? Thank you, Maxim.
  6. Hi everyone I'm looking for some program that would allow me to schedule periodic backups of my PC to a tape device. I tried to use ntbackup but it gave me hall on the media configurations - I want the process to be fully automatic - i.e. The program sees a tape in the drive, formats it and then writes the data on the tape. For ntbackup I've tried to use the /UM switch as well, still no good. Could someone please recommend a good (or maybe evil backup software that is also freeware and can be used on an xp workstation with a tape device connected to it ? Thank you, Maxim.
