Romeo26222 Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) Hi all finally i have found a WORKING way to edit the boot screen in winxp without editing the kernel file and this way is works after the runonceex is excuted...i have just made a silent installer by using winrar to delete boot.ini from c: and add the moded boot.ini which have the boot logo command..thats all..ofcourse i have included the boot.bmp file in the $oem$ folder under $$ folder to be copied to win directory..thats the file if you need it just add it to your runonceex.cmd without any switches as it is already silent...BOOT.EXE Edited May 8, 2006 by Romeo26222
SiMoNsAyS Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 just 1 thing... what about if you don't install on C: (aka first active partition)?answer is that you're setup will be screwed up on a second.just for people to be careful with this, be sure at the time of replacing boot.ini or even better, just use the command line tool provided by windows.
