premier69 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I need help here.I'm attending a course in which we are to learn how to start and mannage a buisness here in Sweden. And a few of us are not from the city the course is in so we have to travel about 140km each day to and back from. Now, certain days there's only about 1-2 hours of class on a day and the buss schedules are terrible making us either late for class or several hours between the end of the day and next bus home.So those days when there's hardly reason to travel my teacher would like the option of teaching those of us not there over the internet, like having a video camera or a webcam in the classroom during class and we could attend by logging on and listening in.How would this be doable?I imagine a digital video camera hooked up to some program would be ideal but that may be too expensive, i dont know i haven't gotten a budget to work on so for now i would like to know what my options are.And what would be good conference programs for streaming?(please excuse my spelling, I don't have time correcting it right now)
Maleko Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 (edited) Hi there, i work at a college, ICT Technician, and we are currently looking at this at the moment! We have purchased to Logitech Webcams:http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products...CONTENTID=10562Brilliant quality, even at full screen video! A little pricey, but not stupidly.Program wise, we have looke dat many, and as we don't really wanna spend hundreds on software we have found Skype to be the best, as it supports full screen video, unlike most other webcam software, and best of all, it's free!Hope thats of some help, as I said, we have only just started ot look at this, as this is partly where schools will be heading in the future. Jeremy Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 yeah, Skype rules. I realize the business aspects behind the scenes, but the features of it rule.
