(how) is it possible to show the current username on the desktop, like it's possible with the current windows version?

I don't know if what you want to do is possible via a RegTweak but it is certainly possible to display UserName (and a lot more besides) using this little gem from systernals-

I agree with <SparTacuS> third-party program allow to display username but with windows tweaks I'm not sure it's possible ....
