Viper81 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) i posted this as a combo post earlier but to no avail. so this is sortof a repost. but anyway, ok every time my computer boots up i see the BIOS screen writing and then that dissappears and i see a blank screen (instead of the windows xp ntoskrnl.exe that is supposed to show up) I see a blank screen for about 30-45 seconds and then windows shows up. I usually takes longer to boot up aswell. when the ntoskrnl.exe worked it only took about 15-25 seconds to boot. please help. im not computer illeterate, I know computers but i dont like to mess with stuff that make my computer boot up, I have alot of my son's pictures that i can not afford to loose. Thanks in advance for your helpViper Edited May 1, 2006 by Viper81

Jeremy Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Hi, Viper. Do you have anything after "/fastdetect" in your Boot.ini located on the root of your C:\ or whatever your boot drive/partition is?
mouvda Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 blank screen?? maybe the option /noguiboot in boot.ini ...ora picture mentionned in registry is missing ???there are no blank image in ntoskernel.exe!
Jeremy Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I believe he knows that already, mouvda and I already asked him about the boot.ini file, we shall await his answer.
