April 27, 200620 yr I am running mce 05, and my tv tuner isnt recognized, it is a haupage wintv pci 887 board
May 2, 200620 yr did you install the drivers for your tv card?I have a Hauppage PVRUSB2 and unless I install the primary INF and drivers, MCE won't recognize it.All you need is the drivers, you don't need the tv programs that come with your card.
May 2, 200620 yr Author well I tried the drivers I got online but it doesnt work with mce, mce does not recognize it, but the software has it working fine
May 2, 200620 yr Author let me clarify, I was in a rush when typing that post, the drivers are installed, but mce doesw not recognize the tv tuner, the software allows me to watch tv, but I need mce to recognize it in order to use it with my extender.
May 3, 200620 yr Author ok, I just had one more addition, while I would like it to work with mce, if it can work with another program that can stream to my extenders that is good too.
May 5, 200620 yr As far as i know you will require the BDA drivers to get the Tv Tuner card recq in MC, coz Mc uses the BDA drivers so just check with the Hauppage website if the card has any BDA Drivers !!
May 8, 200620 yr whats a bda driver?Check the link below for further informationhttp://www.microsoft.com/whdc/archive/broadcast.mspx
May 12, 200620 yr I dont think they have drivers like that for my cardCheck with the card dealer or in the webite if ur card is supported in MCE. As far as i know most of the hauppague cards work fine with MCE. Almost all HP Mc PC's are shipped with the hauppage cards .
