zolookas Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) When i enter any address i get this error:Maybe there's workaround or fix for this bug? Edited April 28, 2006 by zolookas
MrGuy Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 When did this start happening and how? Have you swept your system for crudware (spy, ad, mal, dataminers) and run anti-virus. This looks like it might be the work of a nasty critter on your machine?
zolookas Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 Well i can't set security level below High in IE. I have nod32 running, i've just scanned my pc with ad-aware and spybot and they haven't found anything (except few tracking cookies) :/ I don't use IE for browsing, but i need it for windowsupdate.
N1K Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 obviously some kind of a bug...why don't you enter microsoft.com without wildcards?
LLXX Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I have IE 6.0 and I tried to add *://*.microsoft.com and it worked fine...Does your user account have write access to the registry key where the sites list is kept?
zolookas Posted April 28, 2006 Author Posted April 28, 2006 (edited) I've tried again now and adding trusted site works normaly! But windowsupdate still doesn't allow to update. So i've tried updating with other administrator account and everything worked fine Edited April 28, 2006 by zolookas
