Ok when i turn my computer on in the morning i get to the desktop and when i click on anything the whole screen goes crazy and flicker's and when i go to type something in ie realy quick it will just flicker the wrting.

and it keeps refreshing the page.

sometimes if i type realy quick for a minute it will crash it.

it only seems to do it during the winter.

so does anyone know what the problem is?

Leave the computer on for a couple of days, Try that becasue the motherboard might not be hot enough and not getting a good connection so leave the computer on and make sure its getting warm but not too hot that will fry the mobo, but around 37-47 C. Try that.

what are your temps at startup? if u leave ur comp on then does it work fine? if so then computerMan is right.

don't know my temp, na even if you leave it on for a awhile it still plays up, but if you turn it off for about 5mins, that sometimes makes it work.

also when you make it crash, it works fine once you have started it again.

not that i know of.

in my opinion it has to do with being winter and cold in mornings

because it never happened in the sumer.

it was happening last year during winter then when it came to summer, never had the problem, now that its almost winter its happening again.

very strange.

Like i said leave the computer on for all day, all night for a few days, I live in vermont and in winter it can be below -22 outside and thats cold but my computer stays on 24/7 and i never have that problem.

Flicker? Are you sure it's not a bad video cable or monitor?

One possible cause would be moisture. If the room is cold at night or when you aren't using the comp. and you turn on the heat when you are in it, there could be some water condensation on the mobo or plug in cards. If people enter the room tracking in snow or mud that also will contribute to the problem. If nothing else works, try putting a dehumidifier nearby.

Also, try a different keyboard and mouse just for the hell of it.

I live in Australia so no snow there.

But i have just figured out what the stupid problems was

Drum roll please It was the F5 key which was over sensitive and must just get the slightest downard pressure and it gets stuck on.

can't beleive i did'nt figure that out sooner.

realy I should of done more troubleshooting.

but the only reason that i did'nt figure that out was it only ever happened during the bloody winter.

like for rest of the 6 months never had a problem.

i'm absolutely spewin about how simple it was.

so anyway thanks for help people.
