[Help] NTFS problem...

Hi all..

I have two harddiscs which is formatted in NTFS... One of them is infected by a virus so i cant use it but i have to backup the data too...

so i am using the other harddisc to run my pc.. but i cant enter the infected harddisc.. it always prompts me to "format this drive" but if i format it i will lose all the data..

so anyone can tell me what to do???

i cant find th ntfsdos... could you help me in finding??

i dont know the virus exactly but i think it is a porndialer...

Just a porndialer shouldn't be too hard to get rid of... see Malware Removal forum in Networking/Security forum.

Virus = attaches itself to other program files, spreads itself

Malware = malicious program that does not spread itself.

You can try a Linux livecd like Knoppix, it able to mount the harddisk (ntfs too), and read the content ...

But your problem isn't produced by any porndialer or malware ...
