dazed and overwhelmed Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Where do I look on my computer to find out what kind of graphics card i have? I need to no because i have Oblivion for the PC but it won't run. I've installed and re-installed but nothing works. I can access the main menu but after hitting "play" I see this blank, black box in the corner, followed by the normal report telling me that oblivion had an error and needed to close. I think this might be a graphics card problem.
Zxian Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Device Manager or the Display Properties will tell you what graphics card you have. Right-click the desktop and select Properties. Then go to the Settings tab. You should be able to see the model of your video card there. If you click on "Advanced", you might be able to get more information.
ripken204 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 check event manager for an errorhow much ram do u have?odds are that if you have no clue what vid card you have, that it really sucks, so you may be looking for an upgradeits too bad, oblivion is such a great game im almost done with it
hankjrfan00 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 You can look at the back of the computer to see if you have onboard video or a seperate video card.
