Prevent Account Sharing

Hi,

How can I prevent user from sharing their user account in MS Windows Server 2003/XP? Can I restrict that they can only log on 1 computer at any one time using group policy? if group policy is not possible, any other ways to do that?

I don't think it's possible using Group Policy, you're probably going to need a 3rd party utility for that.

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit has a utility called "Cconnect.exe", or alternatively there is a utility called "UserLock" - http://www.pnltools.com/UserLock.asp

If your users are always loging to the same computers, then yes you can bind particular user to particular computer using Log on to on Account tab within user properties (Active Directory Users and Computers) ... other way is limit login, already mentioned by cluberti
