GLO Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I loaded WMP10 and altered a setting in 'Add Remove Programs' in the Windows components section i unticked the bit where is says Windows Media Player. I have re-ticked it, and even tried to re-install it but re-installing says that its already installed. What can i do?Title edited -- Please, use [TAGS] in your topic's title. Please follow XP Forum Rules from now on.--Sonic
Sonic Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Download WMP10 from microsoft directly, and re-run the setup.Have you got a nLited Windows CD ?
GLO Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 (edited) Hi Sonic,I have already tried re-installing WMP10 but it fails as it recognises a new version. And Yes I have an nLited windows CD, but that disc works 100% on another PC. So i thought that it was an error with the XP setting rather than an nLite issue. Edited April 9, 2006 by GLO
GLO Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 what else could it be? The only other thing i have done is channge the drive letters. (and indicate that all programs install in the D directory)But i would have thought that WMP10 would have loaded into the C drive as its a windows component.
