MrTraderi Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 When i play games in XP the monitor turn back to 60hz why???orginal i have 85hz...I Use Geforce GTS 2.-MrTraderi
Guest LouCypher Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 Maybe the mode the game plays in isn't able to run @ 85Hz?The higher the resolution, the lower the refresh rate.
XPerties Posted December 2, 2001 Posted December 2, 2001 Try setting your rate to 75 which is a great rate BTW. Games shouldnt run that high anyways. Youll get better preformance if you lower it.-XPerties

canny Posted March 3, 2002 Posted March 3, 2002 This is a well known Windows 2000 / XP problem, there's some fixaround for nVIDIA / ATi Radeons with refresh rates set, but nothing beats Win98's "optimal" refresh anytime sadly!--canny
StealthMarik Posted March 9, 2002 Posted March 9, 2002 Whew! I was having fits over this. I thought my Vid card was FUBAR. This site/Msg board ROCKS. Thanks for the info.
