ajua Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 i use diskeeper for defragmenting my drives. but noticed that a folder SYSTEMTOOLS is created in C:\ and other times i saw it on the root of all of my drives.inside there is nothing more that a shortcut to launch diskeeper. nothing else. i delete it.once in a while when i open microsoft console or diskeeper to launch a defrag of my drives i get a "installshield wizard is configuring...." window of diskeeper. i wait until it finishes the so called "configuration" and then the annoying SYSTEMTOOLS folder is back with that darn shortcut file inside.is there a way to get rid of it? is it a bug of diskeeper? any ideas? its driving mad.thanks.
BlueMe Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Happend to me too... installed Diskeeper on C:\ and SYSTEMTOOLS appeared on D:\ ... strange :|
mrinferno Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 i searched for the string in the registry and i think i've fixed it.the SYSTEMTOOLS folder installed to G:\ on my computer. So, i moved the SYSTEMTOOLS folder to C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\SYSTEMTOOLS\Then searched for G:\SYSTEMTOOLS\, there were only 2 instances, changed them both to the new path, loaded Computer Management and then Diskeeper. The installer didn't run!
dcyphure Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 do what i do...simply right click on it, select properties then hide this foldernow you wont have to see it at least
