March 31, 200620 yr I have a 2GB SanDisk Cruzer micro and Windows XP/2003 see's it as a Removable Device and not a fixed disk. I am in need of creating more than one partition on it. How can I change the way Windows See the media? I read that you need to change a bit on the device itself, but what software can I use to do this? SanDisk does not provide any software to do this.MrChris
April 1, 200620 yr Does your BIOS have the ability to mount and boot from it? If so, plug it in before turning on the computer and let the BIOS mount it as an HDD.
April 1, 200620 yr Author No My BIOS has no USB type options other than to enable USN 2.0 suport. Iv looked every where in my BIOS too.Someone had said something about being able to get a hold of a software tool to change this on the device itself. You know of such a software peice?MrChris
April 2, 200620 yr You are mistaken. It is probably not the device itself, but its driver that needs changing.
