Quick ? What is the MMX 4?

MMX has been around for years (since late '96/early '97). I got this quick little quote from Intel's site:

MMX technology provides 57 new instruction sets to improve processor performance in traditional digital signal processor [DSP]applications, including the graphics, audio and voice processing capabilities now emerging as value-added features in high-performance embedded products.

60/300 MHz

Are you sure this is a Pentium Pro based system?

Can you give me all the model number info? I want to see if I can find information about it before you purchase anything. From what you just posted, I don't think this is a Pentium Pro based system.

I found your memory pretty cheap...

I also managed to find some base information about the system...something that finally told me it was indeed Pentium Pro based:

Definitely grab yourself a Pentium II Overdrive chip if you can find one. That should bump the system to 333MHz without any overclocking at all. Unfortunately you'll probably have an easier time finding another Pentium Pro chip because the PII Overdrive chips were pretty rare to begin with, much less trying to find one all these years later.
