File Cache Management Programs

I'm wondering if anyone is using these kind of tools such as CleverCache V6 Professional or CacheBoost

Please I need advice regarding to their reliability and/or real effectiveness working on a Windows XP environment.

You know, all these expensive programs are basically doing is changing some cache manager registry keys. You can already do that without any additional software besides Regedit.

I tried clevercache server edition on a server with win 2k3 and it seemed like it made it slower. Just download a trial version and check it out.

yep, I'm trying CleverCache V6 Pro for a workstation and it seems to be running a little faster, the only downside I've found is a long delay to load the tool after PC is started
