hi guys, i need a big help

i've installed windows messenger and msn messenger but i use only msn messenger 5.

if i remove windows messenger i can lose some features like remote assistance...so i have to keep both of them

now that's my question

I DON'T WANT TO RUN WINDOWS MESSENGER ON BACKGROUND AT STARTUP, I TRIED TO MODIFY THE RULES OF STARTUP BY THE FILE MSCONFIG.EXE BUT IT DOESN'T WORK BECAUSE EVERYTIME MSMSGS (WINDOWS MESSENGER ) IS ALWAYS PRESENT ON TRAY

please help i don't want to run win messenger but only msn 5

Go to C:\Program Files\Messenger and rename the Messenger folder. Now here is what I have C:\Program Files\Messenger1. Works great for me...

i just suggest removing the main exe of Windows messenger and it will be fine

As soon as windows starts do ctrl + alt + del and close win msnger. Youre not removing it, and its not in the road, so there ya go
