Some weird RAM problem.... again

Not long ago my PC had system failures, constant freezing, random reboots and BSOD's.

So I removed one of my RAM chipset. Everything worked fine. Thought the RAM was getting old and defected, so I returned it to the store and got it replaced.

And the problem starts here.

Currently, my old RAM is residing in RAM Slot #1. If I install another RAM chip on slot #2 or #3, my computer would just freeze, or won't boot into Windows at all. I thought I purchased another faulty RAM, but when I installed the new RAM with the old RAM on Slot #1, everything worked fine. But I can't install anymore new RAM under slot #2 or #3 because my PC would just freeze or reboot automatically, or either I can't boot into any OS. And I can't seem to find a solution under Google as well.

And it used to work.

Have you guys experienced this before? I'll be grateful if you would help me, thank you.

checked to see if theres any crap/dust in the slots and causing bad connection?

Checked it, no dust or anything.

I swear, this problem has been recent and its driving me insane.

this might sound like a long shot, but if possible try a different cpu?

Guess I'll have to bring it to my local computer store where I brought it. They'll tell me what to do, and I'm willing to buy a new motherboard if that is the case.

I think my CPU is working fine, I'll have to find out.

All ram does not play well together. Some brands don't even play well with certain motherboards.

Old ram and new ram will sometimes fight with each other.

Likewise diferent brands.

When upgrading, its always better to replace old ram with new.

Well, it was my motherboard that was faulty. Replaced it, works fine.
