Xionor Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 (edited) Whenever I download an installation .exe it gets corrupted.I've formatted my HDD yesterday so it can't be a virus. My RAM is also brand new...Some files dont get corrupted, but 100% of the NSIS installers are always bugged. This has happened to me before, but it somehow just disappeared.Does anyone know what may be causing this?My Motherboard is Asus A8N-E and I think it had quite a lot of in-built Anti-Virus stuff. Maybe it's going overly invasive and corrupting my stuff?EDIT: I just removed the nForce firewalls , etc, and to my surprise the download was flawless....Stupid firewalls...who needs them.... kambui Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 No sir, Firewalls are not stupid ......It actually helps....and about your problem.....it is because downloader iin your os is corrupted......I had this same problem ......Try to get a fresh copy of the os.....or use external downloading agent
LLXX Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Use a download manager like FlashGet. Much more versatile than the browser's built-in downloader.
