[Question] dial-up modem restarts the pc?

ok i installed a fresh windows on a system that used to work fine.but now when i try to connect using the dial-up modem thave been working alright,when the authentication pass the windows restarts.

why?

I think it's driver or hardware issue.

Try to update the driver of your modem.

Try to change pci port too.

it was working alright until last week with the same driver.nothing changed,just a new windows installed.
