[Help] XP update failed

Featured Replies

Yesterday when I shut down my laptop it had two updates to install. Update 1 hung at some stage during the installation (I don't know when cause I went to bed!). My laptop would not respond. I had to reboot (battery disconnect), went to windows update and clicked on the Express button to get the updates and see what caused it to hang. Now when I click on the Express button, my laptop hangs. When I kill the update page thru the task manager, the whole of IE crashes (icons, task bar etc).

Reboot and try again, same problem.

So, I don't know what update caused the problem cause I can't get a list. How can I roll back the last failed update or fix the problem that causes IE to hang when clicking on the Update Express button?

Thanks for any help.
