[Help] - booting from cd

When i try to boot my windows xp cd from my cd drive, it doesnt boot. I made sure that in the bios, cd drive was first in order. It still doesnt boot from cd. Do you have any suggestions?

does your cd have a file called bootfix.bin on it?

Welcome, BMS,

Try another CD that's supposed to be self booting, just to make sure your problem is not just with the XP CD.

Then take a good look at your CD,,,,make sure it's clean and not scratched.

Thanks alot Andromeda43, that was the problem. The cd. I got my sisters xp cd and it worked perfectly.
