Are there any utilities out there that will parse the eventlog in real time/semi real time and on ERROR/WARNING send me an email and/or test message my phone etc?

I was doing some searching a while back for products to do this very thing. Every search I did lead me back to GFI Software Ltd.

I have not yet purchased anything to do this, but I've read nothing but good things about their products. For your purposes I believe you would be looking at GFI LANguard Security Event Log Monitor.

kinda an all in one opensource suite... works well .. the only thing I dont like about it is it is pretty stripped down unless you purchase the enterprise edition.. but i am pretty sure it has reporting/alerting in the free version.. eitherway .. still a very good solution to a centralized error log configuration.
