Aaron Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Since you've made 6 characters, does that mean you've got 6 Progress Quest apps open?

Crispy Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 You pick a race, choose a class, and roll your stats. Then you are ready to go. It is here that Progress Quest takes its bold leaps ahead in game design. There is now no longer a need to find the village chieftain to hear about the evil loose on the land. There is no slowly scrolling backstory with made up words (you can get one on the website, if you want). In fact, there isn't even a village. There is nothing but your stats, and sliding blue bars that fill up and empty, marking your progress. You don't actually even play Progress Quest. You just turn it on, and watch your characters stats and equipment increase as they massacre a text-based countryside of monsters. That's not even entirely true, even. You don't even have to watch. You can just turn it on, go have a sandwich, and come back and check on whether you've upgraded that +40 Heavy Pronged Halberd yet.Hmmmm ... Sounds like a good game
Aaron Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 There's an MSFN Guild if anyone wants to join it. Type CTRL-G in the game and put in MSFN and click on OK.
babis Posted June 16, 2003 Author Posted June 16, 2003 ya I have 6 PQ applications running at the same timeLOL!!! that's hilarious. What are the odds of that happening... oh well nice find AaronSo ya I'm not sure if somebody wrote a macro for rolling the stats.I actually just use the enter key and wait till the stats hit "red" then I stop and check what was the total stats.the highest I found so far was 91. All my 6 characters are probably in the range of 83-91.
babis Posted June 16, 2003 Author Posted June 16, 2003 I found a Macro for rollinghttp://64.33.111.19/pq/general_downloads.shtmlOh, I read around and poeple claim that "STR" attribute makes you level faster. (no idea if its true)
vcant Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 i tryed to join an MSFN guild, but got error, saying guilds are not supported in the realm what should i do ?
Aaron Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 if you joined the Expodrine realm instead of Oobag or Spoltog, then you can't join a Guild. They disabled it for some reason.
babis Posted June 16, 2003 Author Posted June 16, 2003 Ya try the Oobag or Spotlog Servers. Oh btw the macro file needs to be edited. It only works for the Spotlog and Expodrine servers. The macro comes with a server list, just open it up in notepad and add Oobag in the list. Then it should run "Do you mean a high STR attribute at the start?"Yup, I think so. They say that the more str you have :::> more you can carry ::> more you can sell ::> better items? or something like that
