4 u r Qn. get ubuntu or Fedora or debian 2 do server install

If ready 2 spend some $$ get SuSE Linux 10 Disto

bcoz it is the most user friendly Disto of alll Linux

Uhm... this IS a 'Other Operating Systems' category!

You should use Fedora and set it up as a server, graphical interface for installation for new linux users. just choose server when you install it :)
